Our Services

    Helping Hands assists local individuals and families in a state of crisis with services including food and financial assistance. HHE provides indispensable resources to the Ennis community where more than 58% of public school students are economically disadvantaged. Families and individuals experiencing a financial crisis are screened for services with the intent to foster and support economic improvement. Short term assistance plans are implemented and results assessed for effectiveness.

    Clients are seen at Helping Hands of Ennis during the regular intake hours of Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 12:00 noon. Appointments are made for clients who cannot come to Helping Hands of Ennis during the regular intake hours. Clients need to bring:

• Valid Picture ID

• Proof of Address (i.e., lease agreement, utility bill, etc.)

• Proof of Income

• Guardianship Documents when appropriate

• Documents that demonstrate crisis

Since 1988, our Christ based programs have proudly filled a unique but crucial niche of need in the Ennis area. We can only hope that strong support from our community will allow us to provide the groundwork for a brighter economic future.
